Outdoor air quality monitoring and air quality improvevment action plan development in Belgian cities.
In 2023 Airscan together with Belifus bank launched the Pure Cities project which aims to monitor and improve ambient air quality conditions in cities around Belgium. The project is developed on a comprehensive approach which includes the sensor and modelled data for a maximum results resolution, communication platforms for interaction and engagement of citizens into the projects and finally, a long-term road map which will help the cities participating in the project minimise local pollution sources through sustainable development plans.
The first outdoor air quality monitoring stations under the scope of the project were deployed in the winter of 2023 in cities located in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels Capital Region.
